Development on this version of Microsoft Office was started in 2010 and ended on October 11, 2012, when Microsoft Office 2013 was released to manufacturing. Microsoft released Office 2013 to general availability on January 29, 2013. As with the Windows version, version 13 was skipped for superstitious reasons. 2016 Excel 2016 16.0: As with the rest of Microsoft Office, so it is for Excel: Future release dates for the Macintosh version are intended to correspond better to those for the Windows version, from 2016 onward. Microsoft has already announced that starting on Oct. 13, 2020, Office products that fall out of mainstream support will no longer be able to access Office 365 services.

Version 13.0 was skipped because of the fear of the number 13. 2015-10-13: 2020-10-13: January 29, 2013 Office 2013 (15.0) Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Publisher, Access, Lync, Skype for Business, Visio Viewer Lync is replaced with Skype for Business after an update. 2018-04-10: 2023-04-11: September 22, 2015.

- Fixed an issue where the label would hang indefinitely when opening a document with Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) protection.
- Fixed the bug that the dictation button could not be opened when creating a new word commenting Word Commenting. Now the button can be turned on or off normally.
- Fixed the problem that there are no spaces between words when users use the dictation function to insert the content of the document.
- Fixed the problem that when multiple lines were input with RTL, the second and subsequent lines were aligned to the left instead of to the right.
- Fixed an issue with the spell check menu when switching between two different spell corrections.
- Fixed the problem that there may be overlapping text between sub-columns.
